Steve is Chairman of the Area Marketing and Director of the Executive Master Class in Business-to-Business Marketing & Sales at Vlerick Business School.

He is a recognised expert in the areas of B2B marketing and e-business and has received multiple awards for his research and teaching and for assisting companies in building successful marketing strategies and e-business models. In addition to his responsibilities at Vlerick Business School and Ghent University, he serves frequently as a trainer in executive education programs for leading multinational companies across Europe. Steve also servas as an independent board member at international firms.

He was awarded with a doctoral fellowship at the Intercollegiate Centre for Management Science in Belgium in 1997 and was a visiting PhD student in Electronic Commerce and Internet Marketing at the Owen Graduate School of Management, Vanderbilt University, a Research Associate at the Hart eCenter and later a Visiting Professor at the Edwin L. Cox School of Business, Southern Methodist University, and a Professor at the Solvay Management School.

His work has been published in leading research journals such as the California Management Review (Berkeley), Communications of the ACM, IEEE Computer Society Proceedings, and MIT Sloan Management Review.
