Decoding the DNA of Public and Private Sector Leaders

Comparisons are often made between the public and private sectors in terms of culture, structure, environment and talent management. In general, the private sector is used as a ‘benchmark’ to evaluate to what extent the public sector has evolved towards practices in the commercial world.

 

Given the current economic situation, it is timely to question whether the private sector is the optimal benchmark.

In order to understand what differentiates leaders from both sectors, Hudson has analysed the personality characteristics of 1,185 senior leaders in the public and private sectors in Europe.
