Denise specialises in strategic planning and client service delivery. She has extensive experience of operating at board level as both a lawyer and in a general management capacity.
After several years at Slaughter and May specialising in corporate finance, Denise joined Asda Group as part of its recovery team in the early 1990s, assuming the role of Company Secretary and General Counsel. In addition to the company secretarial, legal and regulatory functions, Denise was responsible for corporate and public affairs, CSR, pensions, share schemes and risk management. She also championed Diversity and was responsible for a number of Asda's successful employment policies.
She has held a number of non executive appointments in the retail, financial services, construction, sport, health and education sectors. She is currently Non-executive Director of the British Olympic Association, Chairman of the York Museums Trust and a Non-executive Director of the Northern Ballet.
