A company's value proposition and a large part of its long-term success lies with the choices of its CEO. A successful company, for example, may have a consistent strategy for achieving high levels of customer service and customer satisfaction. In such a case, customer service is likely to have been a strategic choice made by the CEO and then implemented throughout the organisation on a consistent basis. CEOs, however, must depend on their operating model to achieve their company's value proposition.
