Model Britain

Martin joined the Advisory Board of Model Britain at the end of 2025. Model Britain is a new, nationally significant tourist attraction scheduled to open in 2028 in Milton Keynes, England. Conceived as an immersive, family-friendly miniature world, it will celebrate the UK’s iconic landscapes, landmarks and cultural heritage. Martin provides financial oversight, capital strategy and investment guidance to support Model Britain’s long-term ambition. https://modelbritain.co.uk/ He is also a member of the Finance Committee at Effingham Golf Club providing governance and financial oversight during a period of unprecedented investment.

He has 30 years' executive experience in international financial management, transformation and acquisitions, gained through local and global Board-level roles at Reckitt and Unilever.  Prior to this Martin qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC working in Audit and Transaction Services. Martin was SVP - Corporate Finance at Reckitt - the FTSE 20 listed Health & Hygiene consumer goods company. There, he headed-up the Corporate Finance team responsible for Group Performance Reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis and Strategic Planning; Global Finance support to all Corporate Functional Executive Leaders; M&A Finance; and the Finance Transformation of Global planning and forecasting.

Previously, he was Global Managing Director of Unilever Corporate Ventures, managing a $1billion portfolio of VC and PE investments across North America, Western Europe and Asia, focused on early stage personal care, sustainability, marketing services and technology companies. He held five NED/advisory roles. Martin was CFO for Unilever's €8billion Global Laundry and Hygiene Division leading the margin transformation programme. Whilst CFO of Unilever HPC Mexico, he was part of the Board team which delivered extraordinary value.

Martin graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Bristol University, he is married with three grown-up children and enjoys playing golf and tennis.
