Paul is a Criticaleye Board Mentor and brings to that role years of experience in working on public company boards in a wide range of activities, strong city connections and a healthy cynical approach to business and regulatory issues.

He was formerly Non-executive Director of Brookwell, a quoted Guernsey-based investment trust with investments in 80 small-cap and AIM listed stocks. Brookwell ran activist shareholder closed funds generating value and returning cash from illiquid stocks. He was Deputy Chairman of the Quoted Companies Alliance, which represents the interests of smaller quoted companies, for three years and a Director for nine years. Paul was also Non-executive Director of The Thistle Pub Co 2 Plc, which owned public houses in the Lothian Region of Scotland.

In his executive life, Paul has over 40 years Plc experience across a spectrum of commercial and industrial activities, including having been Group Finance Director at Fuller Smith & Turner Plc from 1991 to 2008. Prior to this, Paul was Group Finance Director at the housebuilder Bellwinch plc and a Finance Director of subsidiaries at Mitchell Cotts plc. Paul gained his training with Ernst & Young.

He is a graduate of Cardiff University with a degree in Accounting and Economics. Paul is married with two grown-up children and spends his time between London and Céret on the French/Spanish border.
