Tom is the current President of AstraZeneca UK, where he is continuing to dedicate its resources to supporting patient and improving clinical practice.
He has held multiple senior commercial roles at AstraZeneca in Singapore, Shanghai, Seoul before moving back to Brussels to lead the Eastern Europe Region. When Pascal Soriot joined as CEO, Tom moved into Global roles, initially leading our largest Global Cardiovascular Franchise and then the Global Respiratory & Immunology Franchise, before his current role.
Tom has enjoyed a dynamic career of 16 years at AstraZeneca delivering consistent high performance in business unit, country leadership, above country and Global franchise roles of increasing complexity and seniority. He continues to be passionate about purpose, understanding and confronting reality, decision-making and execution, attracting talent and building high-performing teams in competitive markets.
Before AstraZeneca, he served as a British Army officer, and worked as a Management Consultant and Partner in an early-stage technology VC Fund.
Tom currently lives in Cambridge with his family and is happy to be back in the city where he studied Economics as an undergraduate.
