Fin O'Leary
Board Advisor, Non-executive Director & former CIO
Fin is an internationally experienced digital technology leader, CIO/CTO, interim board advisor and non-executive director. In addition to his deep banking and fintech knowledge, he advises across a variety of industry sectors on digital business strategy development, with a focus on digitization, platform ecosystems and wide scale business transformation to increase revenue, agility and drive sustainable growth.
He is a board member of London Rebuilding Society (LRS) a UK based mutual society that provides innovative products to finance and support individuals and households that cannot get what they need from public or private sectors. He is also a board mentor on Connectd, an early stage growth marketplace, underpinned by smart matching technology that directly connects the UK’s leading founders, investors & NAMs (NEDs, board advisors and mentors).
Between 2014 and 2020, Fin was Chief Information Technology Officer for the holding company of Saudi Arabia's largest conglomerate. The group covered construction, manufacturing, retail, technology, hospitals, FMCG and supply-chain logistics, with 500+ entities and over 80k staff. Fin focused on digital strategy design and roadmap, efficient group-wide financial consolidation and design-deployment of in-house treasury and digital banking capabilities.
His earlier executive career included Chief Information Officer roles at ABK Bank Kuwait, Samba Financial Group, KSA (formerly Citibank) and DEPFA Bank plc, a public infrastructure finance and investment bank.
Fin has extensive international experience, having worked in Europe, North America, South East Asia, China and the GCC. His broad business acumen comes from his executive roles as CIO and CTO, where his remit extended across strategy, operations, finance, governance, sustainability and product vs platform economics.
