Sandy Dudgeon joined Cazenove Capital following the acquisition of Thornhill in January 2010 and was head of business development for the private wealth management business until becoming Managing Director of Cazenove Capital Management Asia Ltd in 2013. Cazenove Capital is a leading independent wealth manager, providing financial planning and investment management services to private clients, family trusts, companies, and pension plans. In July 2013, Cazenove Capital Management became part of Schroders Group.
Sandy moved to Hong Kong in late 2012 and is rapidly growing the client base in the region.
A chartered accountant, Sandy joined Adam & Company as its first company secretary in 1983 and became deputy managing director in 1991. He joined Martin Currie in 1994 with responsibility for its UK mutual funds and subsequently became managing director of Thornhill in 2003. His directorships have included Dunedin Enterprise Investment Trust plc (1998–2006) and Man Alternative Investments Ltd (2001–2004). He was an adviser to Wates Family Holdings from 2005 to 2010 and a Steward of the Jockey Club from 2009 to 2012.
He has a number of memberships and other connections including; Jockey Club, New Club, HCEG (Muirfield), High Constables and Guard of Honour of Holyroodhouse, Saints & Sinners Club of Scotland, Royal Scottish Piping Society, Hong Kong Jockey Club, Hong Kong St Andrew Society, and his interests include farming, golf, shooting, squash, bridge, racing, hiking and piping.
