Sally is Chair of Impax Asset Management, having previously served as a Non-executive Director and Chair of its Audit & Risk Committee and a Member of its Remuneration Committee. Impax has pioneered investment in the transition to a more sustainable global economy and today is one of the largest investment managers dedicated to this area.

Sally is also a NED of RSA, Royal London, Pensions Insurance Corporation and the Local Pensions Partnership Ltd, having worked in the UK pensions industry for over 30 years. Originally qualifying as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries with consultants Bacon & Woodrow (now Aon), she was CEO of the BP Pension Fund from 2007-14. 

She serves in a voluntary capacity as a Member of the Royal Society’s Advisory Committee on Mathematics Education (ACME) and Chairs the Strategic Advisory Board for the Centre for Mathematical Cognition at Loughborough University, launched in early 2020. She is an Honorary Group Captain with 601 Squadron RAuxAF.

Sally was the first lady Master of the Worshipful Company of Actuaries from 2016-17 and was named as a role model of the year in the 2018 Women in Pensions Awards by Professional Pensions.
