As an international leader and mentor, Ed helps growth-focused companies to transform their businesses.His experience includes P/E, large plc and privately-owned enterprises and is across consumer, leisure, transport, maritime, financial services and regulated companies, focusing on impactful leadership and transformation.

Ed is an experienced Chair (Board & Audit & Risk Committees) and NED. His NED roles include Wightlink ferries (P/E owned), focused on decarbonisation, and Now: Pensions (£4bn regulated DC Master trust), focused on responsible investment & stewardship and significant change in business/target operating model.

With Board level experience as CFO in an autonomous UK division of FTSE100/S&P500 company, Ed was a key player in the management team leading P&O Cruises & Cunard, with the business quadrupling in size to turnover over £1.5bn.This outcome was achieved by establishing cruising as a mainstream alternativewhilst scaling the business’ organisation to support this massive growth.Whilst gaining broad international business experience in a multi-site operation, he was accountable for driving strategy, performance, reporting, risk management and leading transformation. Carnival UK was a business of scale, run like a small business, with an entrepreneurial culture and operating under ‘US style’ accountability. He achieved outcomes through putting in place appropriate governance from first principles.

Ed gained acquisition, JV, investor relations and treasury experience in senior financial positions at P&O and as Number Two to the Group CFO at P&O Princess Cruises Plc (both FTSE 100 companies).

A Team player with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, all his roles demonstrate success in enabling growth & change in immature environments with “hands-on with a purpose” working style where required.

Ed has a BSc in Maths from Bristol University. He is a fellow of the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales). He lives in Hampshire and enjoys fitness training and travel including walking holidays.
