Gary is an experienced global business executive in the technology and professional services industry. He has lived and worked around the world, leading teams and working with clients. Gary is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Crowe LLP a leading Audit, Tax, Advisory and Risk firm and is a member of The Public Interest Committee; a Non-executive Director for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (Ministry of Defence) and Chair of its People Committee; Non-executive Director at the UK Insolvency Service; a Lay Member of the Legal Services Board (Ministry of Justice); a Board Member of the British Quality Foundation and a member of The Court of Heriot-Watt University.

Gary has previously served as a NED of Education Scotland, the National Skills Academy (Financial Services) and Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs. He has been an Advisor to The British Council Board of Governors and a Member of the CBI Business Council for Scotland.

As former Chief HR Officer for Europe and Global Head of Labour Relations for the IBM Corporation, Gary has deep international business and multi-country expertise in major transformations, including people, culture and diversity, M&A, strategy, governance, restructuring, risk and reputation management, succession and talent.

Gary is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He is married with three children.
