Clean Air

This report by E.ON explores a number of solutions that are at the heart of solving the issues of climate change and air pollution. These are global concerns but ones where individuals and organisations can make a real difference.

Key points include:

  • Estimates indicate that long-term exposure to man-made air pollution in the UK has an annual effect equivalent to 28,000-36,000 deaths.
  • Between 1990 and 2016, emissions fell continuously across the European Economic Area, however more work needs to be done.
  • Around half of the UK’s electricity demand is still met by fossil fuels.
