Bert is Chair at Calisen in the UK, Chair at APCOA Holdings GmbH in Germany, a NED at Cordia Energy in the US, and a Senior Advisor to Blackrock. He is also an experienced CEO mentor, which includes working with the Korn Ferry Chief Executive Institute.

Bert spent most of his previous 25+ working years in banking, with the majority of that time at Citigroup. Most notably, he led Citi’s business in the Czech Republic and was CEO of the UK internet bank Egg. For the last 7+ years, he has worked in Energy transition/infrastructure. He speaks six languages and holds a BBA from Nijenrode University in the Netherlands, as well as a Masters in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Phoenix, Arizona, US.
