Bernard Cragg has more than thirty years' media, commercial and City experience. He is currently Executive Chairman of AIM-listed media company GlobalData plc, Chairman of Psyop LLC a US-based media company and a director of Framestore Limited, the company famous for the special effects on the film Gravity.

A qualified accountant, he became financial controller of Carlton Communications and was appointed CFO in 1987 and held this role until 2001. He joined the board of Arcadia in 1999 and became chairman of its audit committee, playing a key role in the group's subsequent sale to Sir Philip Green.  In 2003, he became a non-executive director of Bank of Ireland UK Financial Services Limited (including Bristol & West Building Society) where he remained a director for six years, and in 2003 became chairman of business information company, Datamonitor plc of which he remained until its eventual sale in 2010.  In 2005 Bernard was appointed chairman of the AIM-listed Windows-powered mobile device company i-mate plc until its de-listing in 2008.

Prior to the acquisition by Daisy Group, Bernard was deputy chairman and senior independent non-executive director of Alternative Networks plc, he was also until recently a non-executive director of Astro All Asia Networks Limited, Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad and Astro Overseas Limited, media companies based in Malaysia. 
He was a director of Workspace Group plc for 11 years until July 2014.

He has a BSc Mathematics honours degree from Liverpool University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PriceWaterhouse where he worked until 1985.
